What does HistoricLeigh Speak about…?

Good question! To be honest, I’m not entirely sure yet…

I’ll undoubtedly share more about my research into women’s and popular history, after I studied the impact of feminism upon popular representations of Kathryn Howard for my History MA dissertation. I originally wanted to include Mary Queen of Scots and Princess Elizabeth Tudor in my studies, before the word limit put a stop to that. Thus, I have so many theories and findings which I couldn’t include in my final piece, so I’m really looking forward to sharing them on here!

Of course, as a lover of all things historical, I’ll also waffle on about various other historical topics and eras along the way. From the Vikings to the Second World War; from the Tudors to the Georgians - I’ll be jumping through time quite a lot! I might even share some of the highs and lows I’ve experienced as a budding historian and worker in the heritage sector, so watch this space!

Therefore, if women’s history, popular history, feminism, and everything in-between is your thing, then HistoricLeigh Speaking is the place for you!
